The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily human resources operations, including payroll preparation, employee relations, onboarding, and licensing coordination. This position ensures timely and accurate payroll processing, assists with new hire onboarding and compliance requirements, and serves as a key point of contact for employee questions and concerns. The coordinator will collaborate closely with all departments to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll and HR administrative tasks
  • Consistent follow-up and follow-through on assignments and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and Sage HR
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of HR, payroll, or administrative experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with HRIS, workforce management and payroll solutions required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic payroll/accounting principles
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process employee payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for bi-weekly payroll runs
  • Monitor and correct employee clock-ins and clock-outs to ensure accurate timekeeping
  • Maintain close communication with Scheduling and management to verify hours and employment status changes
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and accurately
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related issues
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including completing new hire paperwork and system setup
  • Coordinate employee licensing requirements, including tracking guard cards, renewals, and compliance deadlines
  • Schedule and assist with fingerprinting and background check processes
  • Assist new employee orientation and training coordination
  • Ensure HR and payroll records are accurate, organized, and compliant with company policies and legal requirements
  • Maintain and update HRIS/timekeeping systems
