About The Position

A Human Resources Coordinator (plant) provides support to the Leadership team and HR team to execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy. This role assists operations and distribution teams by providing support to staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise. The coordinator may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, providing critical information to the general office to assist with investigating allegations of wrongdoing and discharge. The role navigates the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, and collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. With the assistance of the HR Manager, the coordinator executes learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees. The position also provides support to the management team in employee corrective action meetings, discharges, and investigations, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, monitoring and ensuring compliance with company policies and practices. The role performs new hire onboarding and orientation and other duties as assigned.

  • Previous experience in human resources
  • Training experience (Alchemy is a plus)
  • ADP or ATS system experience a plus
  • DOT knowledge a plus

Responsibilities
