Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively convey the value of FDH culture and benefits as an employer of choice in the dental community.
  • Applies discernment in the handling of confidential information and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
  • Forward-thinking with excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Microsoft 365 applications, human resource information systems (HRIS), and applicant-tracking software.
  • Willingness to travel to all FDH locations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain current job listings, including collaborating with managers to draft postings, posting opportunities in iSolved Hire and other platforms, ensuring referral bonus accuracy, and refreshing/sponsoring postings for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Conduct resume searches and contact potential applicants directly to expedite staffing.
  • Screen applications and advance qualified candidates by reviewing applications daily, contacting qualified candidates for phone interviews, proactively considering and contacting prospective candidates for openings, and ensuring applicants are added to iSolved Hire with accurate tags.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure distribution lists are updated with new applicant information.
  • Conduct reference checks as requested.
  • Provide clear and current updates to all stakeholders regarding efforts to fill current job openings.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions (in-person or virtual) with new employees and follow up to ensure successful onboarding, including ordering and preparing new hire gifts, utilizing new hire checklists, processing I-9, E-Verify, and New Hire reporting, assisting new hires with IT accesses, ensuring new hires receive uniforms, and following up after orientation for continuous process improvement.
  • Serve as a back-up to the HR Manager for onboarding new/transitioning practices.
  • Prepare acquisition packets and/or new hire packets as directed.
  • Ensure new employee information is accurately processed and stored in electronic and physical files.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records, ensuring personnel documents are filed in a timely manner, and managing record retention and archival.
  • Complete employment verification requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Organize and manage company uniforms, including maintaining stock, fulfilling requests, preparing samples, working with employees and vendors for returns/special orders, and planning company-wide uniform orders.
  • Provide support for the HR department as needed or directed.
