About The Position

The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County, Inc. strives to ensure that children and their families have access to high-quality, affordable early learning programs and services in our community. We are a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building a community-wide commitment to ensure every child is ready to succeed in school and life through comprehensive, high-quality early learning environments. We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring positive energy, professionalism, be highly organized, and passionate about creating a positive employee experience from recruitment through onboarding. This role requires someone who is comfortable speaking in front of groups, conducting new hire orientation, and supporting various stages of the recruiting process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university in HR or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of experience working in the human resources field with experience completing administrative tasks such as recruitment, new hire orientation facilitation, and employee database management.
  • Experience with onboarding and conducting new hire orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills and public speaking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with daily human resources functions and provides administrative support to the HR department.
  • Conducts new hire orientations and ensure new and current staff members understand organizational policies, resources and benefits programs through informative employee communications.
  • Supports HR Director with full-cycle recruitment efforts including staffing events, prescreening candidates, scheduling, and interviewing, and using the applicant tracking system.
  • Conducts background checks and performs onsite fingerprinting for new hires and current staff.
  • Serves as point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, and general HR matters.
