We are adding a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner to our team! This is a hybrid position requiring individuals to work in office 10 days per month; or as needed for business needs. The Senior Human Resource Business Partner acts as a strategic liaison between HR and business leadership, aligning people strategies with organizational goals. This position develops partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added service to leaders and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. This position enhances productivity and performance by driving talent management, addressing complex employee relations issues, and coaching leaders and employees.

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressive Human Resources experience with a minimum of seven years of experience demonstrating strategic business partner work and resolving complex employee relations issues required.

Nice To Haves

  • Human Resources Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • HRBP experience supporting IT preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives that directly support company growth.
  • Assist in driving organizational change initiatives while ensuring alignment with NGL’s culture and business strategy.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Provides trend data to CHRO for review and discussion.
  • Partner with leaders of assigned business functions to provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Advise leaders through organizational changes while fostering positive company culture.
  • Identify training needs for business units.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, and follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department.
  • Research, develop and propose policy updates, new policies and/or update procedures/guidelines to support growing and evolving organization, ensuring they remain up to date and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and employees to address employee concerns and conflicts in a fair and compassionate manner, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention, promoting a culture of open communication and teamwork.
  • Support NGL leaders and employees by providing HR guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent policy application.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Mentor Human Resources staff to ensure achievement of department objectives while promoting career growth and development.
  • May assist with recruiting for assigned groups, ensuring timely completion of hiring and onboarding activities including but not limited to issuing letters, completing new hire compliance activities and ensuring robust new hire onboarding.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
