The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic and hands-on role focused heavily on employee relations and leave management. This individual will partner closely with leadership to manage complex employee matters, ensure compliance, and support a positive, high-performing work environment. This role will lead the administration of FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs, guide managers through sensitive situations, and ensure consistent application of policies across a multi-state footprint.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and leave management
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and multi-state employment laws (NJ preferred)
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-state organization

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience in healthcare, ABA, or multi-site organizations

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for employee relations matters
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and policy violations
  • Coach managers on performance management, corrective action, and employee engagement
  • Draft disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and employee communications
  • Manage end-to-end administration of FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leaves
  • Oversee eligibility, documentation, approvals, tracking, and return-to-work processes
  • Facilitate the interactive process and reasonable accommodations
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state leave laws
  • Ensure consistent application of policies and employment laws
  • Maintain compliance across a multi-state environment
  • Partner with leadership to address trends, risks, and workforce needs
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and organizational changes
  • other tasks as assigned.
