About The Position

We’re looking for a Human Resources Business Partner who’s excited to be a strategic, business-facing HR partner who partners with operational leadership to drive retention, engagement, succession planning, and organizational design within a fast-growing field services environment. This role plays a direct part in protecting and growing the company's revenue-generating capacity by keeping field teams engaged, well-led, and properly structured. The HRBP is a true thought partner to operational leaders: collaborative and responsive. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR rules, employment law fundamentals, and company policy to clearly advise leaders on the do's and don'ts of people management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including time as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting an operations or field-based workforce
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Solid working knowledge of employment law (e.g., FLSA, ADA, FMLA, EEOC, and applicable state regulations) with the ability to translate it into clear, practical guidance for non-HR leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with leaders while maintaining firm boundaries on policy and compliance
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling, multi-business-unit environment with a degree of ambiguity
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to track, analyze, and act on KPIs
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Willing to travel up to 25% to sites or industry events as needed
  • Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in union environments
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certifications
  • Experience in field services, construction, logistics, home services, or another hourly/operations-heavy industry strongly
  • Prior experience supporting a fast-growing company

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute employee retention strategies
  • Analyze engagement, turnover, and exit interview data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Conduct stay interviews and recommend actions to improve employee retention
  • Advise leaders on HR policies, employment law, and employee relations best practices
  • Partner on investigations, performance management, and corrective actions
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with company policies and employment regulations
  • Support organizational design and workforce planning initiatives
  • Assist leaders with headcount planning and role development
  • Provide HR guidance during reorganizations and organizational growth
  • Facilitate succession planning for key leadership and critical roles
  • Identify high-potential employees and support leadership development plans
  • Coach managers on performance management, feedback, and conflict resolution
  • Partner with cross-functional HR teams to implement company-wide programs
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives
