About The Position

We are looking for an HR professional to join our team as a Human Resources Partner in Pullman, WA! In this role, you will coach employees and supervisors on various personnel topics, handle employee relations issues with utmost professionalism and confidentiality, develop and roll-out career ladders in partnership with subject matter experts, manage initiatives/projects to improve processes and procedures, recruit and hire the best employee-owners, teach and train employees and supervisors on standard HR processes and complex behavioral topics, and provide exceptional customer service to those you support. As a Human Resources Partner, a typical day might include the following: Facilitate meetings to resolve issues. Provide objective feedback, make recommendations on issues as appropriate for both individual employees and managers. Counsel employees and management by interpreting company culture, values and policy, and employment law promptly and accurately. Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations; maintain legal documentation. Maintain broad understanding of data relevant to HR area(s); manages reporting requests and interprets data for others. Work with management to help draft and supply updated and useful information such as reports, relevant policies, and/or disciplinary documents. Actively source and recruit, interview, and hire employees. Support Human Resources training efforts. Work independently using initiative to propose solutions to problems.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of four years experience within Human Resources or a related field
  • Knowledge of employment law and legal hiring practices and procedures
  • Excellent listening, interviewing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical ability and problem resolution skills
  • Skills in investigating and successfully resolving Employee Relations situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
  • Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with an HRIS system and processes

Nice To Haves

  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM certification
  • HR Generalist Experience
