About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner at our Fridley, MN location. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide frontline HR consultation and support serving as the primary onsite HR contact for leaders and employees. This role partners closely with site leadership to deliver tactical HR solutions and a strategic HR partnership over time. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of HR experience or related experience
  • Working knowledge of HR disciplines including employee relations, recruiting, and performance management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main onsite HR point of contact for employees and leaders, providing timely guidance on HR policies, processes, and programs.
  • Build strong relationships with the onsite leadership team to support business needs and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Maintain a regular presence in the facility to understand workforce dynamics and employee engagement.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, employee development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Support leaders in fostering a positive work environment and maintaining a strong employee experience.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting efforts, including requisition follow-ups, interview processes, and onboarding activities ensuring new hires have a positive and effective transition into the organization.
  • Assist leaders with job postings, compensation alignment, and hiring decisions.
  • Support execution of HR processes such as performance reviews, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist employees and leaders with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and coordinate with HR shared services.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on HR inquiries, transactions, and action items.
  • Review HR data (e.g., turnover, hiring, engagement) and partner with leadership to identify trends, recommend improvements, and implement retention strategies and engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the business unit and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure alignment and support.
  • Participate in HR team meetings, site leadership meetings, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Continuously build HR and business knowledge through hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development.
