About The Position

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Tom Wood Inc, you will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management within the Tom Wood Group. You will act as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, serving as an employee champion and change agent. Your strategic partnership will help drive organizational effectiveness and foster a positive workplace culture in our Indianapolis, IN location.

Requirements

Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar HR role, preferably within an automotive or dealership environment.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Proactive problem-solving skills and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Partner with business leaders to develop HR strategies that support organizational goals and drive performance.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
Manage talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, succession planning, and performance management.
Facilitate communication between management and employees to ensure clear understanding of organizational policies and practices.
Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
Support change management initiatives and help drive the company culture aligned with Tom Wood Inc’s values.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Lead or support employee engagement activities and initiatives that foster a positive work environment.
