About The Position

Mater Human Resources is recruiting a Human Resources Business Partner to join their growing team during a period of significant growth and transformation, including the opening of a new hospital and the acquisition of another. This full-time, permanent role is based at their Newstead offices, with regular time spent across their SEQ campuses. The role will work closely with, and report to, a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. It is an opportunity for someone passionate about building capability, driving people outcomes, and supporting meaningful organisational change.

Requirements

A tertiary qualification in HR, business, organisational development, or equivalent experience built over 5+ years.
Strong employee relations problem-solving abilities that lead to sustainable outcomes.
Excellent coaching skills and exceptional communication—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
A high level of discretion, integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
A proactive, self-driven working style with strong attention to detail.
The ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt confidently to changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, build strong working relationships and deliver trusted HR advice.
Sound knowledge of industrial relations, employee relations and HR best practice.
Experience driving organisational change, leadership capability and people-focused initiatives.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a HR Centre of Excellence structure (highly beneficial).
Background in healthcare or other complex operational environments (advantageous).
