About The Position

Mater Human Resources is recruiting a Human Resources Business Partner to join their growing team during a period of significant growth and transformation, including the opening of a new hospital and the acquisition of another. This full-time, permanent role is based at their Newstead offices, with regular time spent across their SEQ campuses. The role will work closely with, and report to, a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. It is an opportunity for someone passionate about building capability, driving people outcomes, and supporting meaningful organisational change.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in HR, business, organisational development, or equivalent experience built over 5+ years.
  • Strong employee relations problem-solving abilities that lead to sustainable outcomes.
  • Excellent coaching skills and exceptional communication—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • A high level of discretion, integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • A proactive, self-driven working style with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt confidently to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, build strong working relationships and deliver trusted HR advice.
  • Sound knowledge of industrial relations, employee relations and HR best practice.
  • Experience driving organisational change, leadership capability and people-focused initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a HR Centre of Excellence structure (highly beneficial).
  • Background in healthcare or other complex operational environments (advantageous).
