About The Position

The HR Business Partner works with Distribution Centre (DC) leaders and their teams directly to define and implement people strategies that are aligned with business plans and company culture and values. This role maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by providing generalist expertise across the functional areas of Labour Relations and HR.

Requirements

  • Equivalent combination of education and human resources experience; achievement of CHRP designation or post graduate degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated knowledge in the area of client relation management.
  • Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Solid computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, requiring little direction.
  • Proven influencer and collaborator, with the ability to provide guidance and support in all areas of Labour Relations and Human Resource Management to business clients.
  • Practices effective relationship management to elevate working relationships with internal client groups, including managers, senior leaders, and employees.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the core HR competencies including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, employment law, organizational development, talent development and training, mentoring/coaching/facilitation, recruitment and workforce planning and an overall understanding of HR policies and programs and other terms and conditions of employment, along with an understanding of HR best practices.
  • Distinguished as a business partner who learns the business and takes an active interest in continually enhancing your business acumen.
  • Proactively identify strategic issues and provide advice and expertise to help develop creative solutions.
  • Developed skills in coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution and change management.
  • Valued for your agility and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing demands.
  • Recognized for your learning mindset, initiative, and ability to understand the business and challenges, and new and innovative approaches that result in improvements in team engagement, productivity, and organizational performance.
