About The Position

Talent Connections, LLC has been asked to identify an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to business leaders within a dynamic, fast-paced financial services environment. This individual contributor role will drive people strategies that support business objectives, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and enhance employee engagement. This position requires working on-site in New York City's Financial District four days per week. Reporting to the Senior VP of HR, the HR Business Partner will collaborate closely with leaders and cross-functional HR teams to deliver effective solutions across talent management, organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, leadership development, and change management. The ideal candidate is a proactive, data-driven HR professional with strong business acumen and a passion for helping organizations and employees thrive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a strategic HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience advising and influencing leaders on a wide range of people-related and organizational matters.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, talent development, and employment law.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives and implementing organizational improvement strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support organizational and business objectives.
  • Provide strategic coaching and guidance on performance management, employee development, succession planning, and talent retention.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR data to identify opportunities, address challenges, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives, workforce planning efforts, restructures, and organizational design projects.
  • Advise leaders on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, investigations, and performance concerns.
  • Identify talent and skill gaps and collaborate with leaders to create development and succession plans.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture by supporting employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional HR teams to deliver effective solutions across talent acquisition, compensation, learning and development, benefits, and organizational development.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices while minimizing organizational risk.
  • Support key annual HR processes, including performance reviews, talent assessments, compensation planning, and workforce planning activities.
