About The Position

The Human Resources & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for administering and communicating employee benefit programs while providing comprehensive human resources support across the organization. This position serves as a key resource for employees regarding benefits, leave administration, onboarding, personnel records, and HR-related inquiries. The Human Resources & Benefits Coordinator ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive employee information. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, payroll, employee leave administration, or a related administrative role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of benefit administration specific to retirement plans, health plans and disability programs
  • General knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with staff, third party vendors, physicians and other customers
  • Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on detail and ability to effectively communicate

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience administering employee benefits, leave programs, and maintaining HR records
  • Group Benefits Associate (GBA) certification
  • Other certifications related to Human Resources
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with a HRIS system
  • Knowledge of Texas Workers Compensation
