About The Position

Decker Truck Line, a family-owned company celebrating over 95 years in business, is seeking a Human Resources Assistant for its Corporate Headquarters in Fort Dodge. Decker Truck Line also received the "Iowa Motor Truck Association Image Campaign" award for community involvement and was a recipient of Hy-Vee’s “Transportation Supplier of the Year” Award. This full-time position offers a great working schedule of Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with an hour lunch.

Requirements

• Must have excellent data entry skills and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills are required
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite

Nice To Haves

• Previous directly-related experience is a plus
• A background in HR is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conducting new employee orientations
• Assigning training
• Maintaining applicant and employee information electronically
• Scheduling and coordinating physicals and drug screens
• Scanning and filing
• Assisting our Licensing & Permits Coordinator with administrative duties
• Other duties as assigned
