About The Position

The Human Resources Assistant (HRA) plays a vital role in supporting the HR function by helping build a high-performing, compliant, and people-focused workplace. This position contributes to recruiting, onboarding, workforce coordination, and employee development while ensuring all HR processes align with company standards and legal requirements. The HRA partners closely with HR leadership and operations teams to ensure personnel are effectively deployed, supported, and prepared for project success. Catalyst Handling Resources LLC (CHR) is a contracting organization specialized in catalyst change-outs and mechanical services to a wide variety of processing plants in the USA, Caribbean and Europe.

Requirements

  • Basic HR or Business courses in advanced education
  • 2-3 years relevant administrative skills in similar roles in industrial services
  • Safety Compliance & Documentation: OSHA, Safety Council, DISA, TWIC
  • Knowledge of tracking certifications for specialized Labor Force personnel
  • Knowledge of screening resumes, manage job boards and coordinate interview and training
  • Excellent knowledge of the English Language, Reading and Writing
  • Strong Written & Verbal Skills for drafting offer letters and ability to explain company policies to a diverse field workforce.
  • Master of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe
  • Proficient in working with HR Databases or Payroll Software
  • Working with FMLA, FLSA and ADA
  • Assistance with Health Insurance and 401(k)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate workforce logistics, including travel, mobilization, demobilization and alignment of personnel to project needs
  • Work directly with project managers to ensure personnel are aligned with job duties and their trained positions and all travel plans are communicated.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and maintenance of employee records in HR systems
  • Ensure compliance with training, certifications, and employment documentation requirements
  • Assist in scheduling safety and vocational training programs and tracking credential status
  • Communicate effectively with managers, technicians, and external partners regarding staffing and logistics
  • Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Support performance review processes and HR projects as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth, efficient HR operations across regions
  • Ensure our specialized technicians are compliant, documented and ready for deployment at any job site, oversee the collection and maintenance of essential industry credentials
