About The Position

JSET is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an administrative, office management, front desk, or customer service background who is looking to build a career in Human Resources. In this role, you'll help ensure employees receive timely support, assist with onboarding activities, manage HR documentation, respond to employee inquiries, and support various HR processes that keep our organization running smoothly. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of administrative, office support, customer service, or related experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the HR email inbox.
  • Respond to routine employee questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, onboarding, and employment documentation.
  • Route complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to employees across the organization.
  • Prepare onboarding packets and employment documentation.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding activities and orientation scheduling.
  • Track completion of required onboarding items and employee paperwork.
  • Maintain onboarding records and employee files.
  • Review employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow up with employees and supervisors regarding missing or incorrect entries.
  • Assist with timekeeping audits and payroll preparation activities.
  • Maintain records related to timekeeping corrections and approvals.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical personnel files.
  • Ensure HR documentation is complete, accurate, and confidential.
  • Track personnel records, compliance documents, and required employment forms.
  • Assist with reports, spreadsheets, and other HR administrative projects.
