About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and professional HR Assistant to join our Home Health & Hospice team. The HR Assistant will support the Human Resources department with day-to-day administrative tasks, employee communication, onboarding, personnel records, compliance, and general office support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Previous HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Healthcare or Home Health experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn HR, payroll, and healthcare software systems
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of Human Resources or administrative experience
  • Experience with onboarding and maintaining personnel files
  • Experience working in a healthcare, Home Health, Hospice, or medical office environment
  • Familiarity with employment compliance and credential tracking
  • Experience with ADP or other payroll/HR systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department
  • Assist with new-hire onboarding, including collecting and maintaining employee documents
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files
  • Assist with employment verifications and employee record requests
  • Help track employee licenses, certifications, CPR cards, background checks, and other required credentials
  • Assist with employee orientations and onboarding paperwork
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related forms, notices, and communications
  • Assist with tracking attendance, timekeeping, PTO, and other employee records
  • Assist with employee benefits and open enrollment processes
  • Help maintain compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations
  • Assist HR with performance documentation, disciplinary notices, and other employee-related paperwork
  • Communicate professionally with employees, managers, and healthcare staff
  • Assist with payroll-related documentation and resolving basic employee payroll questions
  • Maintain HR spreadsheets, reports, and tracking logs
  • Provide general administrative and office support as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and company information
  • Perform other HR duties and projects as assigned
