About The Position

Provides support to the Human Resources Department by assisting the Human Resources Manager with various aspects of human resources, including training and benefits administration. This role involves assisting with recruitment, maintaining personnel procedures, administering employee benefits, managing training databases, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Computer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to learn HR practices, processes, and HR systems.
  • Outstanding and high level of communication skill, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Valid State Driver's License.

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with employment activities, including recruitment, testing, reference checking, and related employment matters.
  • Assists with the preparation and maintenance of procedures for new hires, transfers, separations, salary changes, and other personnel practices.
  • Administers employee benefits such as life, health, long-term disability, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans.
  • Maintains an accurate database of all PRH training completed by employees.
  • Works with the Human Resources Manager to communicate training deficiencies to appropriate department managers.
  • Maintains accurate employee records related to the employee benefits program.
  • Assists with monitoring EEO, OFCCP, and Corporate Policies and Procedures.
  • Assists with processing employee payroll by verifying timecards, entering employee changes, and performing other payroll system maintenance.
  • Files and maintains all personnel records confidentially.
  • Assists with establishing positive employee relations to foster high performance.
  • Monitors area of responsibility to ensure timely and high-quality services.
  • Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
  • Adheres to property control policies and procedures.
  • Works toward meeting performance standard goals.
  • Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
  • Demonstrates and abides by Serrato Corporation's core values and operating principles.
  • Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
  • Complies with DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and complies with safety practices.
  • Participates in mandatory PRH mandated staff training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
