About The Position

The Training Coordinator, under the general direction of the Human Resources Director, is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all staff training and enrichment programs, organizing and securing virtual documents and records related to daily organizational operations, and providing support to the delivery of all Human Resource projects and services.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, or formal education in Human Resources or related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a healthcare, higher education, or staff development setting
  • Microsoft Office, and Google Suite for document management and data analysis skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate records of workforce training that meets key objectives as outlined in the organizational strategic plan.
  • Assist department heads, managers, and supervisors to plan and document training that improves the technical skills and enriches the professional experience for all employees.
  • Provide ongoing support and communication to both management and employees as training initiatives, including regularly scheduled mandatory training, are implemented.
  • Assist supervisors with researching ongoing learning opportunities for employees to help improve performance, boost morale, strengthen engagement, increase productivity, and improve retention.
  • Document training for all employees on new systems, technology, policies, or procedures.
  • Assists with coordination of new employee orientation, and support supervisors with new employee onboarding expectations.
  • Assists with the development of an effective workforce through recruitment, selection, orientation, development, and retention of all personnel.
  • Effectively communicate with other employees, departments, administrators, applicants and the public for the purpose of providing information and assistance concerning employment, procedures, personnel records and related job requirements.
  • Complete ongoing assessments and evaluations (including surveys and interviews) of employee training needs and/or requirements.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports and presentations for ongoing projects.
  • Coordinates the processing/tracking of employee evaluations.
  • Assists with electronic communication systems such as the company intranet HR page.
  • Coordinate the document management of records related to daily organizational operations and staff professional enrichment.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities through ICARE inititatives with the Employee Health and Wellness committees.
  • Oversees staff recruitment initiatives and assists with the interview process as needed.
  • Partner with external organizations to establish professional relationships as outlines in the organizational strategic plan.
  • Assists with coordinating externships for students from various institutions of higher education.
  • Coordinates NHFHS student extern program which includes reviewing applications, screening students, placing them in positions at NHFHS sites, student orientation, serving as a primary contact for the organization and periodic follow up with students, career counselors and NHFHS managers.
  • Administer, track and report on assigned projects within the HR department including, but not limited to, data analysis, preparation of communications, and drafting or editing HR documents and guidelines.
  • Participates in meetings that involve a range of HR issues (e.g. personnel actions, regulatory requirements, actions involving outside agencies, inter-department needs, etc.) for the purpose of developing recommendations and/or supporting other staff.
  • Performs record keeping and clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, faxing, data inputting, transmitting, telephoning, taking messages, responding to written and verbal inquiries, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the needs of the department.
