Requirements

  • Proven experience as a HR coordinator or Payroll related position.
  • Proficient in excel and Microsoft office suite.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Assertive personality to be confident in leading candidate interviews.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems (particularly UKG payroll systems) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll in alignment with provincial payroll regulations; including salaried, hourly and commissioned employees.
  • Prepare and calculate monthly commissions reports for all divisions using Excel.
  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment including posting, prescreening & interviewing.
  • Conduct all onboarding and offboarding.
  • Draft all required employee documentation including employment agreements, letters of employment, reference letters, termination documentation etc.
  • Maintain all employment information and files pertaining to payroll, benefits, and employment records.
  • Support back-end user management of employee software’s including UKG, Canada Life & other related software.
  • Arrange recognition gifts for any significant life changes to employees.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of corporate social committee events.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned.
