About The Position

The Human Resources & Compliance Manager will focus on oversight, compliance, strategy, and process improvement of the company's Human Resources and Recruitment initiatives while overseeing and coaching the Human Resources and Recruitment teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field with 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, HR compliance, and federal contractor requirements (OFCCP, AAP, EEO, VETS-4212, etc.).
  • Experience with employment-based immigration processes (H-1B, CPT, STEM OPT, and other work authorization programs), payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and HRIS systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR teams, drive employee engagement, performance management, retention, and organizational culture initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and advise management on HR and compliance matters.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Previous experience with Paycom preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Human Resources, Compliance, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition functions while supervising the Human Resources and Recruitment teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant operations.
  • Review and approve HR, recruiting, payroll, benefits, and employee documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Serve as the primary HR and compliance advisor to management, providing guidance on employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, policy interpretation, and organizational development.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR and recruitment policies, procedures, and compliance programs that support business growth and minimize organizational risk.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour requirements, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA, EEO, Form I-9, and employment eligibility requirements.
  • Coordinate with outside legal counsel or regulatory resources as needed.
  • Oversee employment-based immigration compliance, including H-1B, CPT, STEM OPT, and other work authorization programs, by coordinating with immigration counsel and ensuring timely documentation and filings.
  • Lead and monitor the company's federal contractor compliance programs, including EEO, affirmative action, OFCCP requirements, VETS-4212 reporting, pay transparency, and other applicable government contracting regulations, while partnering with internal stakeholders and external advisors as needed.
  • Oversee payroll, employee benefits, leave administration, and HRIS processes by reviewing team activities for accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor recruiting operations, hiring practices, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes to ensure compliance, consistency, and a positive employee experience.
  • Develop HR strategies, workforce plans, and process improvements that support organizational growth, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present HR, compliance, recruitment, payroll, and workforce metrics and reports to executive management while coordinating internal audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, Contracts, and department leaders to support organizational initiatives, manage compliance risks, and promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other related duties and strategic initiatives as assigned by executive management.
