This position will provide HR support by explaining employee benefits, maintaining job and personnel records, coordinating training and onboarding, supporting recruitment and performance evaluations, and posting job openings. Requirements

  • Three years of human resources experience; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR A bachelor’s degree.
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field.
  • The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

  • Provides basic explanations of benefits offerings and advises employees on the choices available under various programs.
  • Conducts routine reviews of position files to ensure all job descriptions remain current and accurately maintained.
  • Manages the scheduling of required training programs.
  • Reviews applications and confirms eligibility of qualified candidates.
  • Review documents retrieved from employees to conduct on-boarding.
  • Assist in maintaining employees' personnel files.
  • Communicates with supervisors/managers updates regarding the appraisal system, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Post all Agency available job openings in the LaJobs website.
