About The Position
The Michigan Civil Service Commission is seeking a human resource professional to join the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) Human Resources (HR) Office. This role serves as a Human Resources Generalist in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for all professional HR activities, including job classification, staffing, labor relations, compensation, and performance management for assigned DMVA worksites supporting the Michigan National Guard, Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, and the Michigan Veterans Homes. The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner with a strong customer-service background, excellent communication skills, and prior HR experience or a relevant degree. The ability to collaborate and manage competing deadlines is essential.
