About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the HR office, including benefits, hiring, transfers, terminations, and payroll. The manager will implement the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, coordinating workloads, and ensuring associates complete required training. They will also ensure compliance with company HR policies, maintain the accuracy and confidentiality of HR documents, and assist in the implementation and compliance of HR systems. The manager will identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and provide solutions or recommendations. Additionally, they will supervise and develop associates and leaders, manage and coordinate training for Distribution and/or Transportation associates, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of belonging, attracting and retaining talent, and acting with integrity, ethics, and compliance. The manager will also focus on serving customers, making data-driven decisions, and striving for excellence through continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year's supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 2 years' Walmart Logistics management experience OR 2 years' supervisory experience, including 1 year's experience managing human resource processes OR 1 year's Walmart Stores, Inc. Human Resources experience.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
  • Ensure associates complete required training to achieve facility goals.
  • Manage daily administrative functions of the HR office (e.g., benefits, hiring, transfers, terminations, payroll) by executing and refining recruiting and staffing initiatives.
  • Research and address employment-related concerns for applicants, associates, and managers.
  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies by reviewing and managing the accuracy, confidentiality, and maintenance of HR documents.
  • Assist in the implementation of and ensure compliance with HR systems and applications.
  • Research to gather data for HR-related issues.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance, distribute and maintain procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action or make recommendations.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders in area of responsibility by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Teach, support, and model Logistics and company policies and procedures.
  • Identify training and development needs and participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders.
  • Manage and coordinate training (e.g., new hire orientation, CBL modules, web-based training, virtual classroom) for Distribution and/or Transportation associates.
  • Help identify training and development needs for hourly associates, Drivers, and/or management.
  • Monitor the completion of training curricula.
  • Present and facilitate training courses.
  • Monitor the schedules, completion deadlines, and compliance for multiple training activities.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
  • Identify and communicate goals and objectives.
  • Build accountability for and measure progress in achieving results.
  • Identify and address improvement opportunities.
