REPORTS TO Director of Human Resources Essential Job Functions Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding. Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution. Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently. Maintain company organization charts and employee directory. Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives. Maintain personnel records, in compliance with HR regulations. Assist with benefits enrollment and terminations. Review and complete I9 documents. Assist Performance Appraisals and performance issues. Work with the safety department to track employee training. Help administer 401k, medical and onboarding paperwork to employees. Partner with safety and operations to ensure safe healthy work environment. Open dialogue with the Director of Human Resources Assist with Corporate initiative. Requirements Previous experience in Human Resources, coursework or degree in Human Resource preferred. General knowledge of labor and employment laws Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills Strong attention to detail Maintain Confidentiality Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Essential Physical Abilities Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc Education/Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business 2-4 years’ experience working in a human resource department. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Ability to Travel 0-10% of the time Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer Frequently communicates with employees and customers
