About The Position

The Briarwood Community is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to support the Human Resources department with various administrative and project-based responsibilities. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in a professional HR environment and provides exposure to recruitment, employee records management, onboarding processes, and special projects. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, eager to learn, and interested in developing a career in Human Resources or Business Administration.

Requirements

  • Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • File and organize employee records and HR documentation.
  • Scan personnel files and department records while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist with document management and record retention processes.
  • Support HR projects and department initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist with data entry and administrative tasks.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain electronic and paper files.
  • Help ensure HR records are accurate, complete, and properly stored.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team.
  • Assist with onboarding materials, recruiting activities, and employee communications as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
