About The Position

Responsible for all corporate personnel activities, coordinates activities of Human Resources department staff, and oversees the Human Resources department.

Requirements

  • Completion of a four-year degree in human resources &/or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of 4 years of management experience in human resources management.
  • Regular, predictable and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to deal with stress and get along with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people outside the company and internally within all levels of management and all departments.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Written skills in order to document.
  • Consistent and reliable transportation that allows for routine travel for a variety of job related activities.
  • A valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

  • Must be able to occasionally stand, walk and use hands to handle, or feel.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • HR certification [SHRM, SCP, CP, SPHR, PHR, etc.] is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct operations and personnel in the Human Resources Department.
  • Supervise the work of 2 or more full-time employees and assist outlying offices with supervision of Office Support Professionals.
  • Develop and oversee a character recognition program.
  • Interview, hire, train, and oversee HR Department staff.
  • Make recommendations for employment promotions, transfers, or separations.
  • Recognize exceptional performance, conduct performance correction, and evaluate performance for HR Department staff.
  • Report irregularities in HR procedures to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Monitor overall operation of all HR office systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee the development of job aids for all HR positions.
  • Maintain cross-training of all HR positions.
  • Receive, review, and audit timesheets for the HR Department staff.
  • Review and analyze checks written and use a signature stamp.
  • Prepare for and participate in annual Quality Assurance, financial, workers’ compensation, 401K and other audits.
  • Coordinate and oversee investigations and complaints related to bullying and harassment, and recommend personnel action.
  • Coordinate and oversee investigations regarding workplace violence and recommend personnel action.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee work-related illnesses/injuries and treatment, and maintain OSHA logs.
  • Monitor safety incentive program and revise as needed, track and monitor trends in workplace injuries, and maintain Safety Manual.
  • Monitor Drug & Alcohol Free Workplace program, oversee testing, and act as liaison to Employee Assistance Program.
  • Monitor health, dental, life and supplemental insurance programs and coordinate annual open enrollment.
  • Complete annual reports including OSHA, EEOC, Notice of Creditable Coverage.
  • Assist in routine audits of all personnel files and maintain an orderly and confidential system of personnel file maintenance.
  • Participate in communications sent to employees.
  • Answer telephone calls and provide and coordinate front desk coverage.
  • Travel to outlying offices and program sites on a quarterly basis, or more often as needed.
  • Modify and maintain Employee Handbook, Performance Evaluations, Performance Guidelines, Position Descriptions, Job Descriptions and interview forms.
  • Attend, present at, and actively participate in Management & Leadership and other meetings.
  • Act as back-up trainer when necessary.
  • Provide training as needed or requested for administrative and field staff.
  • Coordinate annual DSP Appreciation Week activities.
  • Oversee performance evaluation process, send reminders, review evaluations, and follow up on issues or concerns.
