About The Position

ConnectedHR is growing and seeking an experienced Human Resources Director Consultant (part-time) to join their award-winning team. This is a W2 employee opportunity with a consistent, ongoing schedule, onsite at client locations during normal business hours. This role is for strategic HR leaders who enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and making an impact across diverse industries, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. HR consultants at ConnectedHR are highly experienced, passionate about HR and continuous learning, exceptional communicators with the confidence to advise senior leaders, and team-oriented with a strong sense of pride and ownership in their work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist or HR Business Partner (HRBP) experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • High emotional intelligence, exceptional communication skills, and solid business acumen.
  • Ability to travel locally to client sites throughout the Cleveland, OH, metro area.
  • A professional, confident presence with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Proven expertise across core HR disciplines, including: Strategic Business Planning, Policy Development & Compliance, Leadership Development & Succession Planning, Performance Management, HRM/HRIS systems and implementation, Employee Relations & Workplace Investigations, Compensation & Benefits Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding & Recruitment Strategy Implementation, Employment laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior consulting experience is a plus.
  • Advanced degree or HR certification (SPHR/SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR consulting to clients of varying sizes and industries.
  • Advise business owners and senior leadership on complex HR issues.
  • Act as a working consultant, both strategic and hands-on.
  • Create and implement HR strategies, policies, and training programs.
  • Navigate employment laws and HR best practices with confidence.
  • Engage employees and leaders to influence culture and drive performance.
  • Support recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives, including workforce planning, job description development, interview strategy, and hiring process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the ConnectedHR and ConnectedTALENT teams to share knowledge and support peers.
