About The Position

CARE Canada is seeking a Human Resource Coordinator for an 18-month parental leave cover. This role is integral to the People & Culture team, providing day-to-day administrative and coordination support across recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, HR operations, reporting, and employee experience initiatives. The position also involves reception and office coverage for the Executive Assistant during absences. The HR Coordinator will contribute to transforming CARE Canada to be future-ready and ensure a positive experience for staff, candidates, and visitors.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of HR-related experience including HRIS experience, recruitment, benefits administration, employee wellness initiatives.
  • Human Resources related degree/diploma/post-graduate certificate or a combination of relevant experience, training, and/or education.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive employee data.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Strong and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Team player who has a demonstrated ability to multi-task and (re)prioritize.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with functions including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
  • Must have the right to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong language skills in French.
  • Knowledge and experience using Ceridian/Dayforce HRIS.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day administrative and coordination support across recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, HR operations, reporting, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Providing reception and office coverage for the Executive Assistant during planned absences and leave periods.
  • Promoting and maintaining an organizational culture that advances gender equality, reduces power abuse and inequalities, and fosters trust and safety.
  • Creating an environment within CARE's workplaces, programming, and communities that is free from sexual harassment, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation and child abuse (SHEA-CA).
  • Ensuring high standards of prevention and response measures for SHEA-CA are in place consistent with the CARE International (CI) Safeguarding Policy and Safeguarding Code of Conduct.
