This is an exciting opportunity to join the Human Resources team supporting Echo Glen Children's Center in Snoqualmie, Washington. As a Human Resource Consultant 1 (HRC1), you'll build valuable HR experience while partnering with managers, supervisors, and employees to support the dedicated staff who help Washington's youth succeed. At the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), we work alongside Washington's children, youth, and families to create a world where every child and young person has the opportunity to grow up safe, healthy, and thriving. Guided by our core values of inclusion, respect, integrity, compassion, and transparency, we are committed to strengthening families, supporting communities, and making a meaningful difference across Washington State. In this role, you'll partner with managers, supervisors, and employees to provide guidance on a variety of human resource matters, including DCYF policies and procedures, Civil Service laws (WAC), Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), and employment laws such as the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Working under the regular guidance of higher-level Human Resource professionals, you'll serve as a trusted resource while gaining experience across a broad range of HR functions. If you enjoy collaborating with others, interpreting policies, solving problems, and providing outstanding customer service, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your HR career in a unique and rewarding environment.
