The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a candidate for a PT Human Research Technologist to explain study aspects and procedures, maintain lab equipment, apply electrodes and monitor overnight sleep studies. As a sleep technician, the position will be accountable for all overnight sleep research recordings (including consecutive night studies) for clinical trials in human subjects; monitor and track research study files to ensure quality control of data collected. Work Hours: 3rd shift, including some weekends. This position is up to 40 hours a week for a maximum assignment length of 16 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Accountable for all overnight sleep research recordings; monitor and track research studies to ensure quality control. Perform PSGs and participate in the collection of Actigraphy, and other research participant data. Maintain supplies for sleep laboratory as well as recording equipment to ensure it is in working order at all times for research studies. Collect and analyze biological samples (saliva, urine) Participate in aspects of sleep data management for assigned projects including: update and maintain databases; resolve problem data issues; track data collection forms, and other project materials; perform verification procedures. Collaborate with project coordinators, clinical investigators, clinical personnel, and other data management personnel to plan and implement sleep data management tasks for research projects. Work Hours: Part time, up to 40 hours per week, for 16 weeks. PRN hours, working 3rd shift, including weekends, 8:30 pm-8:30 am
