About The Position

The Prevention Research Center is seeking a Human Research Technologist to conduct research projects for NIH-funded longitudinal studies using mobile surveys on IPhones and wearable wristband devices to examine alcohol and substance use in college students and young adults. This position is funded for 1 year(s); continuation past 1 year(s) will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Comfort working with technology, including mobile apps, online platforms, and basic data tools (e.g., Excel), with willingness to learn new systems.
  • Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain compliance with research or regulatory guidelines (e.g., IRB).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting research, clinical, or program operations involving human participants is preferred
  • Experience coordinating or guiding the work of others (e.g., training, mentoring, or team coordination) is a plus.
  • Experience working with college-aged or young adult populations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee data collection activities, including programming and monitoring mobile surveys, managing participant enrollment, and ensuring adherence to study protocols and data quality standards.
  • Monitor participant compliance with mobile surveys and wearable devices, and provide troubleshooting support for technical or connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate participant recruitment and scheduling using multiple channels (e.g., social media, online platforms), and manage appointments and follow-up to maintain engagement.
  • Supervise and coordinate research assistants, including scheduling, training on study protocols, and oversight of day-to-day study tasks.
  • Manage participant communications, including responding to inquiries, resolving scheduling issues, and providing ongoing study support in a timely and professional manner.
