About The Position

The Human Capital Representative is responsible for providing front-line staffing and recruitment support, including onboarding and orientation, and provides HR assistance to plant leadership and hourly employees, as well as providing administrative HR support for the Human Capital department. The Human Capital Representative is also responsible for maintaining accurate employee records in the Company’s HRIS (ADP), including, but not limited to updates to pay rates, job titles, supervisor, and department, as well as ensuring accurate payroll records weekly.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within human resources.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases.
  • Familiarity with ADP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt recruitment strategies as needed.
  • Team-player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrates strong multitasking abilities, effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment, and taking initiative to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the full-cycle plant recruiting process.
  • Partner with plant leadership to understand workforce needs.
  • Screen resumes against the Company’s Do-Not-Hire list, and coordinate interviews.
  • Communicate with candidates to provide updates on their application status, interview logistics, and next steps in the hiring process.
  • Responsible for hiring goals, including employee retention and turnover.
  • Provide on-site drug screening support, perform background checks and verify employment eligibility.
  • Assist in onboarding new hires, including paperwork and orientation coordination.
  • Process and manage employee payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and organizational policies.
  • Maintain payroll records, including tax filings, deductions, and benefits adjustments.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure garnishments are entered accurately into the HRIS system to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the Company’s HRIS (ADP), ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Audit data through ADP reporting to ensure records are allocated appropriately within department budgets, and address discrepancies with the management team in a timely manner.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees.
  • Maintain the plant do-not-hire list through Company HRIS.
  • Complete verifications of employment.
  • Complete check requests and submit to Accounts Payable, as needed.
  • Stay updated on contractual language and labor laws to ensure compliance.
  • Assist customers in placing street orders and purchases of by-product, as needed.
  • Miscellaneous duties, as assigned by HR leadership.
