About The Position

ScottMadden is a general management consulting firm with three main practice areas — Energy, Corporate & Shared Services, and Enterprise & Specialized Services. We work with forward-thinking clients across a wide variety of business units and functions, including human capital management, finance & accounting, supply chain and more. Our industry focus is also expansive, including health care, higher education, technology, communications, manufacturing, consumer products and professional services, among others. We are seeking talent with Human Capital Management consulting experience to join our Corporate & Shared Services practice. Experienced HCM consultants are expected to have the leadership, project management, and client relationship skills necessary to successfully manage a variety of project types and sizes. Travel, at the discretion of the client, may be necessary. You will work on small project teams to identify, and often implement, solutions to client problems and challenges. Project teams are typically composed of three or four consultants and a partner. Working closely with experienced ScottMadden consultants and partners will maximize your learning and enable meaningful project contributions from your very first assignment.

Requirements

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
  • HCM consulting experience (3+ years preferred)
  • Knowledge of HR Function/HR Transformation/Human Capital Management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project and Outlook)
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future, as ScottMadden does not provide visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Shared Services is preferred
  • Strong project and resource management skills
  • Knowledge of leading practice HCM service delivery models and components, including processes, technologies, organizational designs, and roles and responsibilities
  • Experience in the creation of project related deliverables such as process maps, project plans, change management assessments, implementation plans, communication plans, and financial models
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of project types and sizes.
  • Identify and implement solutions to client problems and challenges.
  • Contribute to the HCM consulting practice (methodologies, service offerings, team development, client relationships).
  • Drive best practice consulting behaviors into the organization.
