About The Position

United Way for Greater Austin is seeking a Human Capital Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Human Capital team. This role is crucial for the success of HR operations, including payroll, onboarding, compliance, employment verification, and benefits billing. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, adaptable, trustworthy, technologically savvy, an excellent communicator, and detail-oriented.

Requirements

  • Organization, attention to detail, and flexibility, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Google App.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Kindness and a growth mindset.
  • Experience with Paycom preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the organization's HR email account and respond to inquiries.
  • Schedule meetings and take minutes during departmental meetings.
  • Assist with the Human Capital onboarding process.
  • Participate in payroll preparation by reviewing timecards, personnel updates, and expenses and communicating with staff to resolve outstanding items.
  • Review benefit invoices and communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Respond to verification of employment requests.
  • Update the intranet Human Capital page as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
