The Hull Outfitting Production Engineer will perform field engineering activities for hull outfitting systems, parts, equipment, and machinery. This role involves responding to issues by investigating onboard vessels, documenting problems, and interfacing with production supervisors and workers. The engineer will create Design Change Notice packages and Corrective Action Notices, generate supporting drawings, and enter purchase requisitions. Responsibilities also include documenting material non-conformances, reviewing and approving production installation and manufacturing drawings, and creating engineering Work Packages. The position assists with owner change order requests, communicates with regulatory agencies, and supports the startup and commissioning of hull outfitting equipment and systems, including participation in dock testing and Sea Trials. The engineer will also contribute to the build method planning process, participate in cross-functional meetings, create equipment Installation Procedures, and maintain knowledge of classification and regulatory rules.
