Hub Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Hub Driver to make deliveries and support commercial customers and store operations. The driver uses company-provided vehicles to transport automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers and AutoZone stores. The role also includes maintaining delivery documentation, following fleet safety procedures, completing vehicle checklists, keeping vehicles clean, reporting maintenance issues, and supporting merchandising standards. Between deliveries, the driver may assist in-store DIY customers with locating merchandise, product knowledge, and installation services, and may pick up returns, process merchandise, and restock items from routes. No CDL is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with AutoZone driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional service during deliveries and communicate effectively with customers.
- Collaborate with store managers, teammates, and commercial customers to support smooth operations.
- Follow structured delivery processes and fleet safety guidelines to complete accurate, on-time routes.
- Drive company vehicles to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers and AutoZone stores, and maintain delivery documentation.
- Follow company policies, safety protocols, and fleet PPE guidelines to support safe, accident-free transportation.
- Complete daily vehicle checklists, keep vehicles clean, report maintenance issues promptly, and support store merchandising standards as needed.
- Pick up returns, process merchandise, and restock items from route deliveries.
- Assist DIY customers in-store between deliveries by helping them locate merchandise, sharing product knowledge, and offering installation services.
- Stay informed about current automotive promotions through AutoZone systems.
