Hub Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Hub Driver to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers and AutoZone stores using company-provided vehicles. The role supports commercial customers and store operations by following structured delivery processes, completing accurate and timely routes, and adhering to fleet safety requirements. A CDL is not required. Drivers provide friendly, professional customer service and maintain clear communication with customers, store managers, and teammates. Duties also include documenting deliveries, conducting daily vehicle checklists, keeping vehicles clean, reporting maintenance issues, picking up and processing returns, and restocking merchandise. Between deliveries, drivers may assist in-store DIY customers with locating merchandise, product information, and installation services, and stay informed about automotive promotions. The position also supports store merchandising standards as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and comply with AutoZone's driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Must be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Must have flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional service during deliveries and build customer relationships through clear communication.
- Collaborate with store managers, teammates, and commercial customers to support smooth operations.
- Follow structured delivery processes, maintain accurate and timely routes, and comply with fleet safety guidelines.
- Drive company vehicles to transport automotive parts to commercial customers and AutoZone stores.
- Maintain proper documentation for each delivery.
- Follow company policies, safety protocols, and fleet PPE guidelines, and support accident-free transportation.
- Complete daily vehicle checklists, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and promptly report maintenance issues.
- Support store merchandising standards as needed.
- Pick up returns, process merchandise, and efficiently and accurately restock items from route deliveries.
- Assist DIY customers in-store between deliveries by helping locate merchandise, providing product knowledge, and offering installation services.
- Stay informed about current automotive promotions through AutoZone systems.
