Hub Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Hub Driver to provide efficient, on-time delivery service to commercial customers and AutoZone stores while supporting store operations. The driver uses company-provided vehicles to transport automotive parts; a CDL is not required. The role also includes maintaining customer relationships, following delivery and fleet-safety processes, handling returns and restocking, maintaining the vehicle, and assisting DIY customers in the store between deliveries. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and communicate clearly during deliveries.
- Build strong relationships with customers and collaborate with store managers, teammates, and commercial customers.
- Follow structured delivery processes and fleet-safety guidelines to ensure accurate, on-time routes.
- Drive company vehicles to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers and AutoZone stores.
- Maintain proper delivery documentation.
- Follow company policies, safety protocols, and fleet PPE guidelines to support accident-free transportation.
- Complete daily vehicle checklists, keep vehicles clean, and promptly report maintenance issues.
- Support store merchandising standards as needed.
- Pick up returns, process merchandise, and efficiently and accurately restock items from route deliveries.
- Assist DIY customers in-store between deliveries by helping locate merchandise, providing product knowledge, and offering installation services.
- Stay informed about current automotive promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
