Hub Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a Hub Driver to support commercial customers and store operations by making safe, accurate, and timely deliveries of automotive parts. Drivers use company-provided vehicles; no CDL is required. The position also supports in-store customer assistance, merchandise handling, and store standards between deliveries. The role requires a valid driver’s license, compliance with driver safety requirements, basic automotive-parts knowledge, and the ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with AutoZone driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional service during deliveries and communicate effectively with customers.
- Collaborate with store managers, teammates, and commercial customers to support smooth operations.
- Follow delivery processes to complete accurate, on-time routes and comply with fleet safety guidelines.
- Drive company vehicles to transport automotive parts to commercial customers and AutoZone stores, and maintain delivery documentation.
- Follow company policies, safety protocols, and fleet PPE guidelines to support safe transportation.
- Complete daily vehicle checklists, keep vehicles clean, and promptly report maintenance issues.
- Support store merchandising standards as needed.
- Pick up returns, process merchandise, and restock items from route deliveries.
- Assist in-store DIY customers between deliveries by helping them locate merchandise, providing product knowledge, and offering installation services.
- Stay informed about current automotive promotions through AutoZone systems.
