About The Position

The HRIS Specialist is responsible for participating in the support, maintenance, and implementation of the human resources information system (HRIS). This includes data entry for new hires, terminations, employee changes, and personal information updates. The role ensures data integrity and effective HR system utilization, developing queries and reports to meet business needs. Responsibilities also include researching and resolving HRIS-related questions and issues, responding to data inquiries accurately and timely, and participating in HRIS projects and system upgrades.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or 2 years’ experience in related field.
  • General understanding of HR policies and practices
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential data.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input data entry.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate well developed organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support processes for implementing HRIS system updates related to upgrades, fixes and special projects to include document review, testing with functional areas using test plans, documenting unexpected results and process flaws, issue management and resolution.
  • Maintain HRIS system data, tables and workflows.
  • Develop data integrity protocols and help maintain data integrity in the system by analyzing data, creating and running various audits.
  • Create and maintain standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Complete data entry for employees/departments including, but not limited to, New Hire entry (including tax and direct deposit entry), Employee Change Forms, Payroll Adjustment Forms, Personal Information Change forms, Terminations, and any special entries as required. Provide copies of documentation to payroll for processing.
  • Responsible for uploading minimum wage changes annually in UKG.
  • Responsible for reports to outside agencies including EEO-1, BLS, and OES Reports.
  • Track and maintain union annual wage increases and dues.
  • Track error log for Applicant tracking system imports.
  • Responsible for monitoring new hire documentation to ensure Hope Network is in compliance with all Federal, State and local employment laws, including CARF, Licensing and County MHS compliance.
  • Knows and understands policies and procedures. Provides guidance on application and recommends revisions that support organizational excellence and best practice.
  • Provides feedback on reports, documentation, and forms used within the Human Resources function to recommend updates, identify and eliminate errors.
  • Responsible for providing monthly metrics and identifying any trends or patterns.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Employee Referral Bonus Program.
  • Filing on a regular basis to ensure the employee files are maintained.
  • Assist in assembling new hire files on an as needed basis.
  • Disassemble terminated files on an as needed basis.
