About The Position

This internship focuses on maintaining employee data in Workday, supporting the HRIS team with data requests and reporting, and assisting with HRIS projects and system changes. The intern will also help build knowledge-based articles and guided tours, and respond to basic HRIS inquiries. Residency in or relocation to Louisiana is preferred.

Requirements

Undergraduate, recent graduate or graduate level student in Information Systems, Business, MBA or related field.
Must have completed a minimum of 60 hours in an undergraduate program to be considered.
Concentration in Human Resource Management or Information Systems is preferred.
Cumulative GPA: 3.0+ GPA preferred; minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality
Basic understanding of HR systems or interest in HR technology
Must have proficiency in MS Word, Outlook PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately
Must possess strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Has the ability to commute to our office in Baton Rouge, LA.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Interest in learning HR data processes, reporting, and systems

Nice To Haves

Workday HRMS knowledge is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining employee data in Workday, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Partner with HRIS team members to fulfill data requests and provide basic reporting support
Run and distribute standard and ad hoc HR reports with guidance
Assist in building out text, knowledge-based articles and Guided Tour
Provide general support for HRIS projects, upgrades, and system changes
Respond to basic HRIS inquiries from internal users and escalate as needed
Assist with testing of Workday implementations
