About The Position

Milacron is looking for a Human Resources Intern (HRIS) to join our team in Batavia, OH for the summer semester. The Human Resources Intern (HRIS) will support the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition team by helping evaluate, design, and implement AI-enabled and system-based solutions to reduce manual recruiting tasks and administrative workload. This role focuses on improving candidate documentation, data capture, and interview coordination through better use of HRIS platforms and emerging AI tools. The intern will contribute to initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and overall recruiter and candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (third or fourth year preferred) with a focus on Human Resources, Information Technology, HRIS Systems, or a closely related field
  • Experience or coursework involving HRIS platforms, system implementations, or HR technology projects
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI solutions or automation tools in a business context
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex processes
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing project-based work with guidance
  • High curiosity and interest in the evolving role of AI and technology in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current Talent Acquisition and HRIS-related workflows, including interview note-taking, candidate tracking, and interview coordination
  • Identify opportunities where HRIS functionality and AI-enabled tools can streamline processes and reduce manual work
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of AI solutions that integrate with HRIS and recruiting systems
  • Assist with documenting current-state and future-state processes, requirements, and recommendations
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, and IT stakeholders to understand business needs and system constraints
  • Help define success measures, user workflows, and adoption considerations for new tools or process improvements
