About The Position

Supports the design and maintenance of base compensation system that ensures consistent, competitive and equitable pay rates for new employees, employee job changes, promotions and other related adjustments. Provides coaching and guidance to other HR team and hospital management to oversee implementation of compensation systems and ensure integrity and effectiveness of systems. Participates in and monitors market survey information providing guidance and recommendations on areas of risk in supporting employee retention efforts. Maintains a reliable system to evaluate internal equity of new and modified positions through position evaluation and job grading process. Calculate rates for candidates. Manages projects/process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality. Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Provides production support, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Documents process and results. Generates reports/queries, including writing maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience (work/internship) in Human Resources or computer systems implementation/analysis required.
  • Strong technology skills, including mastery of Microsoft suite and the demonstrated ability to gain fluency in HRIS and related programs including report writing and systems interface.
  • Proficiency in communications and interpersonal relationships are required.
  • A strong customer service orientation with basic ability to negotiate and manage conflict is required.
  • A very high level of confidentiality is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are required, including the ability to maintain complex records with accuracy.
  • Basic project management skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience desired.
  • HR Certification (SPHR/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SHRM-CP) or Compensation certification (World at Work) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related is preferred.
  • Course work in Human Resources is strongly preferred.
