About The Position

The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, developing reports, and providing end-user support and training. This role involves working with various HR systems, analyzing business processes, and making recommendations for technological improvements. The specialist will also be involved in budget monitoring for software and hardware upgrades and maintaining organizational structures within the HRIS.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License issued in the U.S. is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, computer science, or closely related field; 4 years professional HRIS experience preferably with JD Edwards, Oracle, Oracle HCM, or People Soft, or a combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience with trouble shooting technical issues and developing strategies to address problem areas is required.
  • Experience in HRIS databases and technology is required.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and analyzing Human Resource software is required.
  • Knowledge of word processing, databases and/or data entry, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
  • Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
  • Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations.
  • Travel is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Human Resources Information Program (HRIP) or Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts data audit and in coordination with the Human Resource (HR) Director, Human Resources Manager, and/or Information Technology (IT) Director to execute any needed action across multiple Human Resource Systems.
  • Develops reports using various tools to meet business needs.
  • Ensures data integrity and recommend solutions when problems arise.
  • Presents to Human Resource Leadership on findings and any deliverable action insights.
  • Work in cross-functional teams to improve coordination efforts and to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data and manages multiple priorities.
  • Provides data summaries and statistical analysis for use in strategic planning or decision making.
  • In coordination with the HR Director and Human Resources Manager, creates standard operating procedures and training materials.
  • Analyzes HR and relevant business processes and makes recommendations for process improvement through the use of technology.
  • Monitors and prepares an annual operating budget for software and hardware upgrades for the Human Resource Division, in collaboration with the Human Resource Director.
  • Maintains organizational structures in HRIS including supervisory and locations.
  • Maintains the HRIS in support of the organizations data management and reporting needs.
  • Leads the specifications, development, and implementation of new or redesigned systems, reports, and procedures for HR Users.
  • Provides end user support and training.
  • Provides support with adding and removing access for HR Staff.
  • Travels to multiple work locations throughout the workday as needed.
  • Appropriate work attire is required.
  • Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
  • Ensures confidentiality for financial records and all records for employees and/or clients.
  • Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
