About The Position

The HRIS Analyst serves as the primary administrator of the Dayforce (Ceridian) platform, ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and optimal performance across all HR processes. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s HRIS through system configuration, reporting, and continuous improvement of the user experience, including administration of compensation structures such as pay grades, salary ranges, and step progression. Partnering closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and Labor Relations, the HRIS Analyst supports workflow optimization, system enhancements, and data-driven decision-making to effectively meet business needs. The position plays a key role in managing and auditing compensation data in alignment with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), as well as generating reports and analytics related to compensation, compliance, performance management, and workforce insights. All data is maintained in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, a high level of confidentiality, and a service-oriented approach. This position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with HRIS system analysis and configuration, preferably Dayforce (Ceridian) or comparable cloud-based enterprise HR systems.
  • Experience administering HRIS modules such as core HR, talent acquisition, learning management and performance management.
  • Strong technical and back-end expertise within Dayforce, with the ability to support and enhance system functionality.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, including compensation administration, workforce data management, and performance management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics to support HR and business decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with HR data.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and provide high-quality user support.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting system issues and performing data cleanup to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with internal teams.
  • Ability to take ownership of system performance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator of the Dayforce platform, overseeing system functionality, user access, maintenance, security roles, workflows, and organizational structure configurations.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshoot system issues, and partner with Payroll and IT to optimize HRIS processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain HRIS reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR operations, workforce metrics, payroll updates, and leadership decision-making.
  • Lead system updates, including upgrades, patches, testing, and implementation of new Dayforce features, modules, and enhancements based on release updates and business needs.
  • Maintain and administer compensation structures, including pay grades, salary ranges, and step progression, ensuring alignment with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
  • Manage and audit employee progression through compensation steps and grades, partnering with HR, Payroll, and Labor Relations to interpret CBAs, configure system rules, and ensure pay accuracy and compliance.
  • With support from HR personnel, maintain electronic employee files to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Configure and support the administration of HRIS recruitment, onboarding, learning and performance management modules, including training structures, performance cycles, workflows, and related system functionality.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business needs into technical HRIS solutions.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with HRIS partners and cross-functional stakeholders, while taking ownership of system performance and continuous improvement.
