About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a HR Technology & Innovation Intern in Virginia Beach, VA to support HR operations, workforce analytics, and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys learning new technologies, solving problems, and finding innovative ways to improve processes. The intern will gain hands-on experience with recruiting, onboarding, HR systems, reporting, workforce analytics, and automation projects while helping improve the employee experience through technology and data-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field.
  • Must have a strong interest in technology, innovation, and process improvement.
  • Must be comfortable learning new software and systems.
  • Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Must have the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Excel, reporting, or data analysis through coursework, projects, or previous work experience, preferred.
  • Interest in HR Operations, HR Technology, People Analytics, or Business Operations, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain employee records and assist with HRIS data management.
  • Assist with HR reporting, workforce metrics, and data analysis.
  • Support process improvement and workflow automation initiatives.
  • Help identify opportunities to streamline manual HR processes.
  • Assist with employee engagement, training, and communication programs.
  • Participate in HR technology and special project initiatives.
  • Conduct HRIS data audits and support system testing as needed.
