About The Position

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA. The role is within a fast-paced, growing medical device organization, collaborating with an HR team supporting approximately 165 employees across various locations. It requires a balance of structured HR processes and flexibility to support executive functions. The position is fully onsite, 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in HR, HR coordination, or a similar administrative role.
  • Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and expense platforms such as Concur.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical device, biotech, or regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with multi-state compliance, particularly in WA and CA.
  • Exposure to onboarding workflows, audits, or compliance documentation.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.

Responsibilities

  • Process and audit semi-monthly or bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within HRIS systems.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
  • Coordinate open enrollment and communicate with employees regarding benefits.
  • Track leaves of absence and serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, such as payroll and benefits brokers.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including pre-employment checks and new hire orientation.
  • Assist with job postings, candidate scheduling, and recruiting coordination.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, SOPs, and compliance documents.
  • Run standard HR reports and support audits, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Support training coordination and HR initiatives.
  • Provide basic HR guidance to employees, excluding employee relations issues.
  • Manage and coordinate the CEO's calendar, scheduling meetings and preparing materials.
  • Prepare and reconcile expense reports and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Assist with preparation of presentations and serve as a liaison between the CEO and internal teams.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc requests from the CEO.
  • Assist with office coordination activities and maintain HR files and documentation.
  • Support cross-functional administrative needs across departments.
