About The Position

The HR Specialist – Organizational Development is a key partner in building a high-performing, engaged, and values-aligned workforce. This role supports the design and execution of programs that support the full team member lifecycle — from new hire onboarding through ongoing professional development — while driving data-informed improvements to the team member experience. Working in close collaboration with HR leadership, program leaders, and cross-functional teams, the Specialist ensures that organizational development initiatives reflect Valley's mission, values, and strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
  • One year of professional HR or training experience

Responsibilities

  • Leads the New Hire Orientation (NHO) process, ensuring a welcoming, consistent, and engaging experience for all new team members
  • Supports the first-year onboarding roadmap, coordinates HR-owned milestones and partners with clinical trainers and program leadership to ensure timely completion of role-specific requirements
  • Continuously evaluates and improves onboarding processes based on feedback data and retention trends
  • Designs, manages, and evaluates leadership development programs and organization-wide training initiatives that build capability and support career growth
  • Facilitates training sessions on HR-related topics; adapts delivery methods to meet the needs of diverse learner audiences
  • Plans and champions team member experience initiatives that foster belonging, work well-being, professional purpose, and alignment with Valley's core values
  • Serves as an active contributor to agency workgroups and committees, including the Belonging and Work Wellbeing committees
  • Collaborates with HR and Marketing teams to develop and execute internal communications that inform, connect, and engage team members
  • Designs and administers feedback surveys; analyzes results to identify trends, surface insights, and develop targeted action plans
  • Monitors and analyzes HR and organizational metrics to assess project effectiveness, measure impact, and recommend improvements
  • Performs HR administrative tasks as assigned
